For the Bach-Concert in Nijmegen on July 30, 2025, I made an arrangement of the Prelude and Fugue in D major from the of Bach's Wohltemperiertes Clavier II. It is an effective opening work, with the fanfare motif at the beginning inviting to use the trumpets.
The Prelude offers possibilities for the addition of a pedal part and some motifs and harmony notes, which transform the somewhat thin texture into a full-fledged organ part.
The Fugue can be played on organ without many modifications by playing the bass in the pedal. In measures 39 and 40, even a full scale across the entire pedal range, from D' to D major was created, easily played by alternating feet.
